My job involves lot of traveling, and even though I live in a relatively peaceful neighborhood I always have this fear about the safety of my house. I have installed a good home alarm security system. I also notify the nearby police station when I go away on tours. Yet the thought of my young wife and three children all alone at home definitely does not let me do my work in peace. I was advised to follow a few simple rules by well wishers. Our curtains are always fully drawn close, even when my wife and kids are away from home they make sure that the lights are on and the TV or radio is also on. The front lights are also on throughout the night, I have made sure that the front and back yard have energy saving light bulbs. A few simple tips and a good alarm system has definitely made be feel at ease when I travel.
